School Child Advocacy Project

The goal of this project is to improve children’s rights to education in Bangladesh. This is done through awareness raising trainings in different communities of the country. Through the program, the possibilities and desire for further education will increase among the students in schools. Also, the number of school drop-outs in schools will be minimized. To reach the goal, the awareness related to children’s rights is raised. Awareness raising is done mainly among four groups of people: the students, the parents, community people and the teachers. After the trainings, both the parents and the students know more about children’s rights, not only to start the education, but also to complete it. Through the trainings parents and people from the community find more ways to support their children in education. The teachers in Ashirbad schools have new methods and skills how to support their students in completing their education. It is expected that the partner organization, Bangladesh Assemblies of God (BAGC)/ Ashirbad, is strengthened and its possibilities to do advocacy work has increased.
